• File Types
You may also send the file in the following types:
TIF, JPG, PNG, EPS, PSD, AI, INDD, and QXP.
We prefer that you send PDF, PSD, AI, INDD, QXP, and EPS files with outlined fonts and embedded images. PDF and EPS files are easier to handle and will likely speed up your turn-around. Remember to add crop marks, bleeds, and flatten your files before uploading.

• Color
We recommend always sending CMYK files. If you send us an RGB file, there is a chance that a color shift may occur and you may not be satisfied with your job.
Pantone PMS Colors:
If Pantone PMS colors are needed for your project we require that you specify the exact PMS and your colors will be matched to the CMYK equivalent.
Note:
Hard proofs are required for all color critical projects.
• Resolution
For large prints we recommend nothing less than 100dpi.
Offset Printing:
We required nothing less than 300dpi. Anything lower then the required minimum resolution may be printed as is or will be placed on hold until we receive new files, slowing your turn-around.
Vinyl Decals:
These type of graphics are a completely different process and require the file to be a vector image.

• Bleeds & Crop Marks
Graphics must extend further than the cut line approximately .25" or no less than .125".
Crop Marks:
These are required for all projects.
Note:
Please keep all text and anything you do not want cut at least .25" inside the cut line.
• Transparency Issues
• Banding Issues
Artwork:
Too many gradient steps going from a very light color to a dark color, in a small area.
Very little gradient steps going from one color to few shades off, in a large area.
Solutions:
When printing for Large Format check your digital files before sending. If you use a gradient, make sure it has enough room for a smooth transition. Some banding colors may become inevitable.
Here at Nikos we have special techniques to dramatically minimize the appearance of banding and will contact you if this is needed.
